Meet Chef Marcus Lindqvist
Marcus grew up in Rockford and trained at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park. After a decade cooking in Chicago restaurants — including two Michelin-starred kitchens — he came home to open Riverside Grill in 2008.
His philosophy is simple: source locally, cook from scratch, and let the ingredients speak. He works directly with Illinois farmers, Great Lakes fisheries, and Midwest ranches to bring the best possible food to your table.

Do I need a reservation?
Reservations are recommended for dinner, especially on weekends. You can book online through our reservation widget or call (815) 555-0123. Walk-ins are welcome at the bar and patio, subject to availability.
What are your hours?
Riverside Grill is open Tuesday through Thursday from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Friday from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Saturday from 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and Sunday from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM. We are closed on Mondays.
Do you offer vegetarian and vegan options?
Yes. Our menu includes three vegetarian entrees and one vegan option — the roasted vegetable pasta with olive oil and herbs. Our chef can also modify most dishes to accommodate dietary restrictions. Just ask your server.
Is parking available?
Free parking is available in the lot behind the restaurant and along Main Street. Valet parking is offered on Friday and Saturday evenings starting at 5:00 PM for $5.
Do you do private events or large parties?
Yes. We host private events for groups of 8 to 50 in our private dining room. Custom menus are available. Contact us at (815) 555-0123 or email events@riversidegrill.example to book.
Can I order takeout or delivery?
Yes. Takeout is available by calling ahead. We also deliver through DoorDash, Grubhub, and Uber Eats. Links to all three are on our ordering page.
